BIO

A New Jersey native, Dr. Camara relocated to California with his family where he completed his undergraduate and doctorate degrees. He joined the Cal Eye team in 1998 and became our first and current Director of Optometry in 2008. He loves providing advanced optometric care to his patients and specializes in advanced contact lens fitting. He also serves as an examiner in clinical trials at Cal Eye. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, kayaking, volleyball, and attending cultural and art events. He also holds a California Real Estate license.
